Look at this wonderful artwork! A huge round of applause to Hands on Pottery and Best of the West Photography for taking their time on a Sunday in June to host Paws on a Tile, and to all the artists who came out to honor their pups with a beautiful ceramic tile. You helped raise more than $140 for the Fur Kids Foundation! Just so you know, all the funds donated go toward helping animals in Campbell County receive adequate veterinary care during a time when their family may not be able to afford it.
Thank you again to Hands on Pottery and Best of the West Photography, we are fortunate to have businesses like you support Fur Kids Foundation! In case you missed Paws on a Tile, Hands on Pottery has expressed interest in coming to Pet-A-Palooza so participants can create tiles with their dogs paws on them!

Thank you to everyone who participated in the Pics for Pets fundraiser sponsored by Photo Imaging Center Gillette in April. The total donation from this event was $750!
“On behalf of the Fur Kids Foundation, I am thankful for the generous donation from Photo Imaging Center,” says Sheryl Martin, Fur Kids Foundation president. “This donation helps animals in Campbell County receive adequate veterinary care during a time when their family may not be able to afford it. It truly saves lives." Since Fur Kids Foundation met its fundraising goal in September 2012, it has helped nearly 15 families and contributed more than $2,000 to the community. Another huge thank you to Photo Imaging Center of Gillette for sponsoring this wonderful fundraiser! In June, Fur Kids Foundation assisted with the case of Angus—a 6-year-old Dachshund/Chihuahua who sustained deep cuts to his left cheek after a freak accident in his backyard. In the summer, dog owners like to let their dogs out to bask in the sun, roll around in the grass or just sniff around in the comfort of their own yard. But, before you let your dog spend loads of time in the yard, either while you’re home or when you’re gone, there may be a couple of items to consider.

Related Blog: Protect Pets from Summer Threats Source: Make Your Backyard Dog-friendly, by Stacey Brecher Meet Angus, a 6-year-old Dachshund/Chihuahua who sustained severe lacerations to his left cheek/jaw after a freak accident in his backyard. Angus had to have emergency facial surgery on Saturday, June 22, 2013. His mom reached out to the Foundation for help because she is currently unemployed but knew Angus needed treatment quickly. Angus is now healing happily at home and bossing his neighbor dogs around as usual. He has also inspired the Foundation to write a blog about dog-proofing your backyard because of the incident. We at Fur Kids Foundation wish Angus a speedy recovery.
