On August 23, 2014, Fur Kids Foundation held its first Pooch Plunge at the City of Gillette Pool, and it was a splashing, dashing, soaking good time. More than 160 people, with probably 200 pups, attended this event and more than $650 was raised to help keeps pets healthy in Campbell County, Wyoming. We heard from many of you that you'd like to see this done every year. We sure will try. Thank you to everyone who came out and played with their pups at this event. Special thanks go out to Kay Friedlan with Campbell County and the awesome City Pool life guards, Sawley Wilde with the City of Gillette, Pet Grooming by Kelsey for donating an paw-esome Pampered Pooch basket for the silent auction, the Gillette News Record for writing an editorial about previous events, and to our amazing and dedicated volunteers: Mary, Tara, Cody, Laura M, Laura P, Liz, Peggy, Rebecca, Sarah, Amber, Phyllis, Karolyn, and Felicia. You guys rock and we couldn't do this without you. Fur Kids Foundation is the only organization in Northeastern Wyoming that provides families with pets access to veterinary care when they cannot afford it—so you are helping your neighbors and friends, and maybe family, when you donate.
