This is Aldra, a beautiful Savannah kitty who returned home in serious pain and greatly favoring one of her legs. When her parents rushed her to the vet, they learned that she had a broken tibia and fibula, along with a fibular dislocation -- this translates to a very nasty broken leg, and a great deal of pain for Aldra. It seems that Aldra could have been kicked by a larger animal, or possibly even hit by a car.
Cats are masters at hiding their pain, but if your cat has broken a bone, they will most likely:
Aldra's mom recently graduated from college and wasn’t working much, and her dad had recently had surgery himself and had missed a great deal of work. They knew they would need assistance with the emergency veterinary bill, so they reached out to Fur Kids Foundation for help. We are happy to say that we helped with Aldra's amputation and she's making a full recovery! Fur Kids Foundation is grateful for the dedication of our volunteers and supporters who have helped local families stay happy and healthy, and together! If you would like to help Fur Kids Foundation continue to help families in Campbell County, Wyoming with animals, please consider making a tax-deductible donation. The money helps families during a time when they may not be able to afford adequate veterinary care. Check out more Success Stories.
